Further export options with version 1.5.9

There had only been a few report export destination options, e.g. Dropbox, Evernote, K9, Boxer. This logic has been replaced by the well known application chooser offered from the Android operating system. So from 1.5.9 onwards, you might save the report for example in Google Drive.
Please be aware, that I cannot test all applications, which - according to the operating system - are claiming to be capable of accepting the report files.

In addition there is also an option to open the files instead of sending/saving them.

New version is out now

The good news is: I just released a new version of Tricky Tripper.
The bad news is: I have dropped support for devices prior Android 4.

Although I would really like to support older versions, I lack the time to do it properly. The trigger for this decision was a bug deep inside of the android support library, the one providing the backward compatibility, not likely to be fixed soon. The number of users with old phones (e.g. Android V 2.3) was/is constantly shrinking and I cannot recommend to use such old phones from the security point of view. However I feel deeply ashamed to live in such a material design smartphone throwaway society.

Download of external exchange rates broken

Unfortunatelly the download of exchange rates did not work. This has been fixed with release 1.4.3

The old service had been switched off. A new service has been adopted

Payment time editable & report tab refurbished

Version 1.4.2 has been released. It comes along with a long requested feature to amend the payment time. Hope you enjoy it.

Italian translation added

A big thanks to Andrea Zanella from Italy who provided the Italian translation coming with version 1.4.1.

App size on phone reduced drastically

I really felt ashamed for the total size consumed by the application on the phone.

I finally found a solution applied with version 1.3.1 and higher.

Currency calculation feature released

Today I have released a version including a currency calculator and a exchange rate management. I hope you like it. Let me know if you got issues with it.

Unfortunately, I don't get around the compatibility API, which increases the app's size two thirds.

Decimal input fix available

The bugfix mentioned before has been released today (Version 1.2.4).

It is a pain that I really cannot control which keyboard pops up for number entry. With the solution, it is likely that you will see more symbols on your pop-up keyboard than you can actually enter which is bad, but hopefully this fix allows everyone on every phone to enter the decimal place. Otherwise let me know.

Decimal input fix soon

I received feedback, that the decimal part of TrickyTripper's  number input is not possible on few telephones. I investigated the problem. The issue is due to inferior softkeyboard implementations on various models.  I will provide a bugfix with a workaround probably during this week. Phones affected I know about are:

• HTC Desire Bravo
• Samsung Galaxy S3
• Samsung Galaxy 9000

Sorry, I was lacking the hardware. I only own a HTC Desire.

Plans for the future, roadmap 2012

Tricky Tripper currently suits all my personal needs.

I would like to implement all the features on the wishlist but unfortunately I lack the free time for the rest of the year to do major improvements. I am looking forward to find some time to implement the prio 1 features.
